RDS Fall ‘08
Jump Ramp
Below is one of the Foosh tees for the fall season. Natas’ SMA deck was Justin’s (owner) first skateboard and I thought it would be fitting to do a graphic related to Foosh’s skate roots so I redrew the iconic panther graphic with beaver to give it a Canadian flavour. I also like to think of it as a tribute to Natas himself since he’s always been an inspiration to me. This was a fun piece to work on and should be in the store very shortly.

And here’s where the inspiration was drawn from.

One of the greatest things about living in Vancouver is the amount of great art I see every day. I ran into this window piece last week that I’m 99% sure was done by Peter Taylor who is incredible. (To see what I mean look at this link) Unfortunately I went past again today and it was long gone.

And then I ventured into the gallery at antisocial to see the Lee Matasi tribute where they had actually built wooden train cars.

I’m not sure who this is but I love the style.

This oddly shaped board in the hallway caught my eye so I flipped it over and low and behold a Jeremy Fish original complete with pink trucks! This one made my day.

And then I ended up on the skytrain with a car all to myself - first time it’s happened since I got here.
